Does MailListCleaner update email addresses?

No. Appending email addresses requires a number of ancillary porcesses that we currently do not support in an online capacity. If you have this requirement, we can facilitate your needs through TEC Mailing Solutions at info@tecmailing.com

Can MailListCleaner update any list of names?

Yes. MailListCleaner can update any list of names as long as you have the necessary address fields required.

Can I obtain USPS automation discounts with the output from MailListCleaner?

Yes. All service levels provide a CASS Certified file as an output which contains the zip, zip+4 and Delivery point which are required for Automation discounts. Additionally, MLC+ and MLC Ultra meet the USPS Move Update requirements for automation discounts.

Does MailListCleaner meet USPS Move Update requirements?

Yes. The MLC+ and MLC Ultra services meet the USPS Move Update Requirements.

Does MailListCleaner create an IMB?

No. A presort is required to accurately create an IMB (Intelligent Mail Barcode)

What fields are required to process my data?

Name, Company (if available), address, city, state, and zip code.

What file types are accepted?

MailListCleaner supports both delimited, and fixed length text files, MS Excel, MS Access, and dbase file types as input.

Can I carry custom fields through the process?

Yes. All input fields from your data are carried through the complete process and are contained in the output file.

What type of output?

MailListCleaner's data output file is a comma delimited text file that can be easily imported into any spreadsheet or database application.

Does MailPreparer do EDDM?

Yes, MailPreparer allows you to select the zip and carrier routes to contruct the mailing for EDDM.  MailPreparer creates all of the required USPS postal paperwork and the completely filled out bundle slips.

Does MailPreparer™ process non-profit mailings?

Yes, MailPreparer™ processes Standard Mail non-profit mailings. The sortation is designed to provide you with the lowest available costs and the greatest postal penetration.

Does MailPreparer™ produce an IDEAlliance Mail.dat?

Yes, MailPreparer™ produces a complete set of Mail.dat files for your use in either a third party Mail.dat viewer or to upload to the USPS via the Gateway.

Does MailPreparer™ produce an Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB)?

Yes, MailPreparer™ allows the user to select either a Full Service IMB or a Basic IMB. The barcode uniqueness can be determine by the user or automatically controlled by MailPreparer™.

Does MailPreparer™ generate the required postal paperwork to submit my mailing to the USPS?

Yes, MailPreparer™ produces all of the required paperwork for the USPS. Including the postal statement, qualification report, sack/tray tags, and pallet placards. If address hygiene is performed, a CASS 3553 and NCOA process information is also provided.

How is mail tracking provided?

MailPreparer™ leverages the use of MailPieceTrackerTM and assigned a unique serial number to each piece in conjunction with TEC Mailing Solutions’ Mailer ID to track each piece through the postal service. Detailed reporting for each job tracked is provided by MailPieceTracker™.

How long does the process take?

Depending on the number of services performed, MailPreparer™ takes approximately 5 minutes to clean and sort 10,000 to 20,000 records.

Does MailPreparer™ allow me to manually edit name and address records?

No. Though the address hygiene processes of CASS and NCOA may standardize and/or update your address information automatically, MailPreparer™ does not allow the user to manually edit any data.
