List Procurement
TEC will work with you to provide names and addresses that meet the needs of your specific mailing event. We will also provide lists at a saturation level that will target most of the addresses within a ZIP Code™ to support your marketing or sales efforts.

List Enhancement (Demographic, Telephone and E-mail Append)
If you own your own list, we can enhance it with several additional fields.

Demographic Append
Individual and household demographic characteristics are available for enhancing your mailing list. These options include: Estimated Household Income, Homeowner probability, Presence of children, Dwelling unit size, Length of residence, Estimated home value, Age, and much more. The cost is calculated on the number of records matched plus passing charge or minimum.

Telephone Append

Business: Business Telephone Append matches your customer or prospect file to a multiple source business database. In addition to the basic Telephone Append, if you have phone numbers, TEC will have them verified saving you time and money. Telephone Append charges are calculated on a number of records matched plus passing charge or minimum.

Residential: Residential Telephone Append matches your customer or prospect file to a multiple-source database. Residential match rates typically range from 35% to 75%. In addition to the basic Telephone Append, if you have phone numbers, TEC will have them verified saving you time and money. Telephone Append charges are calculated on a number of records matched plus passing charge or minimum.

E-mail Append
TEC will append E-mail addresses to your customers. You provide us with your house file of names and postal addresses and we match them to a database of opted-in E-mail addresses to add E-mail addresses to the postal records. The Residential database contains over 700 million records. Presently, matching rates of 5%-20 % on Residential files will be expected. The E-mail Append charges are on a per hit basis and an overall running charge.

List Conversion
List Conversion enables TEC to convert your raw data files into our standardized record layout. This standardized layout with consistent field names allows for quality control as the converted data runs through other applications.

File Splitting
Based on your mailing event book makeup, your version and segment numbers will be applied to the converted data to help split the file into groups of records according to how they will run in the bindery. Counts are provided by version number to facilitate your internal planning and tracking needs.

Geo-Coding
During this process, TEC will apply latitude/longitude information as well as census data to the address. This will provide useful demographic information about your customers as well as tie customers to the nearest store location.

Unique Customized Software Applications
If you have a very specific need for data processing, reporting or routine steps that need to be automated. If you have a sluggish dataflow that requires a more streamlined application, TEC builds custom software applications to help its customers streamline its process and improve its production or information gathering capabilities.

Address Hygiene and Standardization

CASS™ Processing
Address cleansing occurs through a CASS™  process that enables TEC to standardize the address according to USPS address guidelines and updates or appends ZIP^®, ZIP+4™, Carrier Route Codes, Line of Travel (LOT) codes, and Delivery Point Barcode information in order to receive postal discounts.

Suite^Link™ Processing                                                                              Suite^Link™ enables TEC to provide improved business addressing information by adding known secondary (suite) information to business addresses, which will allow USPS delivery sequencing where it would not otherwise possible.  Potential candidates for Suite^Link™ processing are records that have been processed through CASS Certified™ ZIP + 4^®   address matching software and have been identified as a high-rise building.  
                                                                  
NCOA^Link® 
This proactive process allows TEC to update your address file with USPS change-of-address information prior to a mailing. As a result, you minimize the number of mail pieces that do not get delivered or have to be forwarded by USPS^® and consequently save time and money.

ANK^Link™                                                                                                  
An enhancement to the NCOA^Link®, which allows for an additional 30 months of change-of-address information.  ANK^Link™ does not return the new address, but informs TEC of moves that have occurred in the past 19-48 months, along with the effective date.  This allows informed decisions regarding your mailings.  If the addressee has moved, TEC can determine the new addresss by seeking the services of  NCOA^Link®  or the addressee may be suppressed from your mailing list.  The result is a reduction of undeliverable as addressed mail, which reduces production, preparation and postage costs.

DPV^® 

By utilizing this process, TEC is able to identify that your addresses are known address records at the delivery point level. This saves you time and money by reducing undeliverable-as-addressed mail.

DSF^2® 
With this process, TEC is able to identify known addresses and identify the type of address as well as, apply sequence numbers to support walk sequence mailings. You will be able to save time and money by reducing undeliverable-as-addressed mail.

LACS^Link® 
TEC is able to convert rural addresses to city address formats when the 911 system is updated. LACS^Link® Product also includes existing city-style addresses that have been renamed or renumbered.

Address Element Correction (AEC I and AEC II^®)
Any of your address data that is still inaccurate after the initial CASS™ process will be sent to the USPS National Customer Support Center in Memphis for further review. During the AEC process, your addresses are scanned against postal addressing data and if there is a match AEC will append the corrected information to the file while keeping the original data elements. If the corrected data is used, you will receive the corresponding postal discounts. AEC II^® further supports quality address data by utilizing the knowledge of local delivery personnel to supply corrected address information.

ACS™
Electronic ACS allows you to receive change of address information from the USPS more efficiently than the hard copy changes and at a less expensive rate. To use this service, you must apply for a participant code with the USPS and add a check digit to the subscriber, member or customer number. TEC will help you set this up.

Merge / Purge
Merge/Purge enables TEC to identify duplicate records occurring either within a mail file or across multiple mail files. Matching strategy will be based on one field, multiple fields or a subset of each field. You will reduce postage costs by eliminating duplicate records.

Suppression (DMA Do Not Mail, Deceased, and Prison)
The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) maintains a file of consumers who do not want to receive advertising mail. By utilizing the DMA mail preference suppression (MPS) file, TEC is able to purge these records from your address file. This saves you money by not creating and shipping a mail piece to a consumer who does not want to receive it.

Presort for USPS Qualification
The sortation or presort process groups addresses together into packages based on their geographic locations and volume. Groups of packages are then placed in sacks or on pallets according to the USPS processing guidelines and how the container will travel through the postal system. The presort process automatically qualifies addresses to give you the best possible postal rates based on package and container levels.

Add-a-Name
This is an effective tool to help you reduce postal costs. A record from an expired file or perhaps a rental list will be added to your file to help create a carrier route package that otherwise would have fallen short of meeting minimum postal package requirements.

Create-a-Firm
Firming allows you to combine like addresses into a single package. To improve your periodical firm or standard mail packaging rates and save in postage, TEC will review your file prior to presort to enhance the standardization of your records that don’t exactly match. In addition, by adding one or two books to a single location, TEC is able to build firm packages over a pound saving you postage by creating BPM machineable parcels.

Address File Output in a Wide Variety of Formats

Personalization and Messaging
Based on your mailing event requirements, your messaging will be static and applied to a group of records, and it will even be personalized to an individual subscriber or customer. Inkjet messaging is a great tool for targeting marketing information to subscribers and customers.

Inkjet File Formatting and Transfer
TEC will format according to the mailing operation’s requirements. All files will be passed through an inkjet verification process as a quality control check and to produce inkjet reports containing examples of address and messaging data as well as file and version counts.

Paper Label Formatting and Transfer
TEC will create either print paper labels or electronically transfer the label output files to the mailing facilities in the following printing formats:

1. 4-up, 1 inch, Cheshire or pressure labels
2. 4-up, 1.5 inch, Cheshire or pressure labels
3. 1-up, 3.5 inch, bulk labels
4. 1-up, 1 inch, Cheshire or pressure labels

Mail.dat File and USPS Documentation Transfer
TEC will create a Mail.dat file for you after the presort process for each mailing event. All postal documentation and information about the mailing will be extracted from this industry file standard. Based on your mailing operation needs, we will either electronically transfer your Mail.dat file to the mailing facility or electronically transfer necessary postal documentation if the mailing operation does not support Mail.dat files.

Unique / Customer Reporting
If you need a custom report developed to facilitate an internal process, we can design and/or replicate a custom report to meet your internal operational needs. If you need to automate the generation and dissemination of this information, TEC builds custom applications to facilitate this as well.

Distribution Services / Entry Point Optimization
TEC provides coordination of distribution services including entry point optimization and co-mailing partnerships to allow your ability to take advantage of the maximum number of USPS work share discounts available.

Postal Affairs and Distribution Consulting
TEC provides high-level consultative advice to keep you current on postal policy and delivery methods so you will mail in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.

File Seeding and Tracking
TEC will append monitors to your files that will report back when your publication or catalog has been received. This is an effective way to ensure that your delivery expectations are being achieved.
